Creative workshop for Barcelona City Council
While Copy Lead at VistaPrint, my department faced 2 challenges. Leadership wanted our creative work to show more cohesion between messaging and design, so that it worked together to tell a complete story. My fellow designers and copywriters wanted an opportunity to express themselves creatively, and work on something different.
So, with help from my fellow writers, I set up and ran a regular creative workshop called Business Not As Usual. It was a chance for writers and designers to work in pairs to tackle a mystery non-VistaPrint creative brief with a 2-hour time limit.
We worked on everything from beer labels inspired by historical figures, to anti-dog fouling campaigns for Barcelona City Council (which actually drew the attention of a neighbouring city and who were interested in using our work).
