Food safety campaign for the European Commission
The European Commission wanted a pan-European campaign that highlighted how the EU had some of the most robust food safety systems in the world. I partnered with GOPA Com - a Brussels communication agency - to help deliver an integrated campaign people would notice.
The challenge
People were taking for granted that their food was safe. They didn't know what went in to protecting the food on their plates.
The idea
Europe is full of culinary delicacies that divide opinion. From Spanish octopus to French camembert, we wanted to pick out foods people would either love, or find disgusting. In a nutshell, whatever your tastes, you knew the food on your fork was safe. Since this campaign would be translated, copy needed to be direct, impactful and simple to transcreate.
The result
The concept forms the red thread running throughout the European Commission's 2026 Food Safety campaign. Featuring on social and digital channels and in consumer events throughout Europe. Learn more about the campaign
